We are building a roster of experienced professionals to support transaction due diligence for Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) and Clean Cooking projects. This initiative will provide technical assistance (TA) and advisory support to stakeholders involved in sustainable energy transactions, ensuring rigorous due diligence across legal, financial, technical, environmental & social (E&S), and carbon finance aspects.
This talent pool will contribute to high-impact energy access initiatives by assessing project feasibility, de-risking investments, and strengthening transaction structures for sustainable and scalable energy solutions.
Role and Responsibilities
Professionals in this talent pool will be engaged in:

Transaction Due Diligence for DRE & Clean Cooking Projects:
- Conducting legal, financial, and technical assessments of energy projects.
- Evaluating environmental and social (E&S) risks and compliance requirements.
- Assessing carbon finance opportunities and structuring carbon credit mechanisms.
- Supporting investment decision-making with data-driven risk analysis.
- Engaging with project developers, investors, and government stakeholders to enhance bankability.

- Reviewing project viability in mini-grids, off-grid solar, and clean cooking technologies.
- Advising on financial structuring, blended finance, and risk mitigation instruments.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and international best practices.
